Regexle
We are jumping on the bandwagon of -dle games!

What is a regex?
Regular Expressions are descriptions of text. For example, the words “text”, “test”, “trees” have something in common:
They start with a “t” and somewhere in the word there’s an “e”. The respective regex pattern would be ^t.*e:
- “^t”: start with a “t”
- then “.”: any character
- then “*”: the previous thing (in this case, “any character”) can appear zero or more times. This means in our case, that there can be any amount of random characters, even zero random characters.
- “e”
These patterns are useful for programmers, because they often search for something in their code files they only have a vague memory of. Another example could be something that is shaped like an address, so first there are letters, then numbers, then a linebreak, then again numbers, and then text.. But it’s also fun for games.
